The software market in Syria is witnessing rapid transformations, driven by the need for technical solutions that keep pace with developments in vital sectors such as education, health, media, and tourism. Despite the challenges that the sector faced during the past years, after liberation, signs of recovery began to appear through local and international initiatives aimed at supporting the Syrian technical community, attracting young talents, and providing smart tools that contribute to improving service quality. The Damascus International Fair this year comes to form a strategic platform for showcasing these initiatives and exploring cooperation opportunities between international companies and Syrian entities.
Company's First Participation
Within this context, Zein LLC for Artificial Intelligence participates in the exhibition for the first time, in a step aimed at exploring the Syrian market and opening an official branch of the company in the country. The company is one of the leading entities in developing software for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, with its headquarters in the United States and activities in several countries. Programmer Helen represents the company in Syria, and she has a technical and humanitarian vision that seeks to employ artificial intelligence to serve communities and provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of the Syrian reality. Zein Company presents the Nabarati platform project in its own pavilion, a global technical platform specialized in converting texts to speech using artificial intelligence technologies. The platform was launched in July 2023 as the first Arabic platform in the field of voice commentary, featuring high-quality audio reaching 96Q level, with full support for the Arabic language in all its dialects, from Syrian to Gulf and Egyptian dialects. Nabarati allows users full control over voice tone and emotions, and provides advanced tools for voice cloning and modification, making it suitable for multiple fields such as media, education, health, and tourism.
Free Services for Vital Sectors
Programmer Helen says that the main goal of participating in the exhibition is to present the Nabarati initiative as a free project directed to government, media, educational, and health sectors in Syria. She adds: "We believe that artificial intelligence should serve people, and therefore we offer our services for free to Syrian entities, from converting educational curricula to interactive audio content, to audio guidance systems in hospitals and tourist centers, to supporting patients and visitors through simplified audio technologies." Helen confirms that the company also seeks to support the Syrian technical community by organizing workshops and training seminars in various provinces, with the aim of teaching Syrian youth the basics of artificial intelligence and how to use it in their practical lives. The company also works to attract Syrian talents in this field and provide job opportunities for them within its regional projects. She adds: "We believe in the ability of Syrian youth to innovate, and we seek to be part of building an advanced technical environment in Syria."
A Tool for Interaction and Integration
Programmer Helen points out that converting texts to speech is not limited to the technical aspect, but carries a humanitarian dimension, especially in supporting groups that need audio content to help them focus or access information easily, such as school students, library visitors, or patients in health centers. She explains that the platform can be used to provide books in interactive audio format and facilitate instructions within institutions, contributing to improving user experience in various fields. Helen concludes by saying: "Our participation in the Damascus International Fair is our first launch in Syria, and we hope it will be the beginning of a long-term relationship with the Syrian community. We are here to listen, learn, and provide what we can of technical and knowledge support. Syria has promising youth energies, and we believe that technology can be a bridge for development and recovery." With this participation, Zein Company for Artificial Intelligence takes its first steps on Syrian soil, carrying with it a technical and humanitarian vision, and a message that artificial intelligence is not a luxury, but a tool for building a more inclusive and innovative future.
